Bowl Games

2009 Bowl Game Schedule and the teams that would be playing in those games even WITH a playoff system in place.  There are 8 empty spots labeled TBD, which will be filled by 1st round playoff losers.   This ensure the exact same number of bowl games as there are in the current (and flawed) system.  However, this fact alone eliminates the bowl game excuse as a reason for not having a playoff system.  We show you exactly how this system would, and should, work.

These bowl games are no less important than the current meaningless bowl games, and it actually incorporates several ne, and more meaningful games – such as the Orange and Sugar Bowls this season, which are absolutely meaningless in their current roles as exhibitions.  This system also ensure that all bowl eligible teams in the current system will still have the benefit of the additional practice time that bowl teams are awarded.
